My sports assignment will be the open gyms for mens's basketball. I'll be shooting it here in the LB gym and shooting it Monday and Wednesday. I am most worried about getting the right lighting and shutter speed right. Most gyms don't have the best lighting so that will be my main challenge.To overcome this I will just have to move from spot to spot till find the right angle. Overall Is the one I'm nit quite sure of yet, Medium I will shoot a group of players talking to each other, and a Closeup of a player with the basketball.

The thing that stood out to me the most in the first 7 chapters is when she was first getting her visa and she was speaking to Mohammed. He started to ask her if what he heard about America was true, that men and women go out in public together before marriage, touch before marriage, live together before marriage. His response was "America is a good place". This surprised me because it shows how western journalism can sometimes overshadow the truth. A lot of people assumed most people in Afghanistan hated the west, but that is not the case. I was also very interested in the pop up schools for girls. week 3

The two portraits/mug ideas I have are of my boss John Galarza. He's the store manager at Zumiez so I will most likely shoot him in Zumiez probably folding shirts and stuff like that. Like I said he is my boss, so I can just ask him next shift. Portrait/Mug

John Galarza John is the store manager of the Zumiez in Albany. He is originally from Medford, OR when asked what brought him to LB and the area he responded "I've worked for the company for 4 years now and I was offered to run this store. The first year I wasn't going to school, and that made me realize I didn't want to work in retail for the rest of my life. My main goal is to be at OSU in the apparel design program. I've always had a love for fashion and clothing so LB is just kind of like a stepping stone for me. Just getting all those prerequisites out of the way at a lower cost so I can jump straight into my degree is nice.
