free shoot

Hannah Angara

Recently one of my friends lost her mother to cancer she asked me and one other person to come with her to the coast for her to say goodbye. She also asked me to document the process, this was hard to do because I wanted to comfort her, but had to get the shots first before offering her sympathy.  I took around 500 frames and these 4 are the most powerful to me. It shows the scenery of Cape Perpetua, her saying goodbye, the flowers she got her late mother, and her taking in one last moment.

Towards the end of the journey, a huge wave broke right by her covering her in the water she then responded with "Okay that was my mama telling me to not cry, we gotta go now, she just smacked me."
